Once the hair is being shed, the hair follicles beneath the thinning section of the scale is in the resting phase. It takes about a year to grow a hair to about 6 inches long. It is normal for a normal human being to lose between 20 to 60 hairs in one day, but you must be aware that if the rate of hair dropping has exceeds the growth rate, then you may notice the thinning hair.
